Passages (2025)
The installation "Passages" consists of a coherent series of large paintings about making (or not making) choices in a person's life. The works in the series are inspired by the book Spacegirl by Hennie Huijgens, which, according to the back cover, is "an intriguing and questioning novel about friendship, music, art, and making choices." The novel is published as an integral part of the work of art "Passages". In the series, large monumental stones, megaliths, and underground burial complexes from ancient times play a prominent role in which themes such as transitions, changes, pilgrimages, and the lamentable cry 'What shall I do?' are central.
