The Indian Paintings (2001)

A series of paintings created during a nine-month painting sabbatical in 2001 in Cochin, Kerala, India. The paintings reflect the scents, colors, sounds, music, and atmospheres of a small village on India's west coast. At the end of the painting retreat, the paintings were exhibited in a local art gallery; from a review in The Hindu:

"Colour of Ragas" is a series he has started which he would like to continue. Indian music is very rich, he says. Himself a flautist, trained in western classical, he had a small recital along with sitar player Ajit Singh, who recently performes in Cochin."
