Shadows of Perception (2025)
The painting series Shadows of Perception is based on the different perceptions with which we look at the natural world around us. In large triptychs and numerous smaller framed works on paper, the shadows of trees and plants serve as the starting point for more or less abstract representations of nature. The images created in this way are indirectly related to the formal language of nature, but through the use of shadows, colors, textures, and materials, they go beyond the 'real' images and are therefore sometimes also confusing, distorting, expressive, and more or less abstract.
